One of my favorite documentaries, Rioja Paired, dives deep into the heart of Spain’s Rioja region, renowned for its rich winemaking history and exceptional cuisine. In this project, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Chef Marti Buckley, whose passion for Spanish gastronomy brought an incredible depth to our exploration of Rioja. The documentary takes viewers on a sensory journey, blending scenic vineyards and culinary artistry to showcase the powerful relationship between food and wine.


Working on this film was not only a visual treat but a true learning experience about the art of pairing and the cultural essence that makes Rioja so unique. The trailer offers just a glimpse of the enchanting moments we captured—from vineyard landscapes to the intense, hands-on process of cooking and tasting alongside local artisans. This project has been a rewarding dive into Rioja’s food and wine culture, and I hope it inspires viewers to savor each pairing as a celebration of taste and tradition.
