Hurricane Ian

Covering a hurricane is always a risky assignment, but Hurricane Ian was particularly dangerous. As a journalist, I was one of the few lucky ones who got access to Fort Myers, which was hit hard by the storm. The roads were flooded, the winds were fierce, and the rain was unrelenting. As I made my way through the city, I saw firsthand the devastation that Ian had wrought. Houses had been destroyed, trees were uprooted, and power lines were down. Despite the dangers, I knew that it was important to document the impact of the storm and tell the stories of those affected. It was a harrowing experience, but I was glad to have been able to share the stories of the people of Fort Myers with the world.
